Dr Zakir Husain Teacher Training Institute is an affiliated college which situated at Burhanpur in Madhya Pradesh and was started in 2005. It is a co-educational institution offering teacher education and is recognised/approved by the National Council for Teacher Education(NCTE). Located on a small piece of land area of 3 acres. Dr Zakir Husain Teacher Training Institute has facilities that will improve the situation, or rather environment that the students of the institute undergo. An ideal library is a learning resource centre where books and other study materials, research papers, journals, analysis and discussions are allowed to help students in enhancing their thinking skills and exploring the subject matters. The teaching infrastructure of the campus comprises modern IT features such as network connectivity, internet and Wi-Fi to assist the students and faculty in getting access to the novel education and research papers.

Dr Zakir Husain Teacher Training Institute offers two full-time diploma programmes, the Certificate and the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) and the Diploma in Pre-Primary Education. The D.El.Ed programme is offered for 100 students where whereas the diploma in Pre-Primary is offered for 50 students are early childhood education.

Admissions are done in accordance with the policy of the state government by taking into consideration the marks of the student in the qualifying as well as the entrance test conducted by the recruiting Institute for admission to the course to be pursued by the candidate.
