Erode Arts and Science College was established in the year 1972 and is an autonomous college. The Erode Arts and Science College is accredited with NAAC grade B+ and is approved by AICTE. Erode Arts and Science College courses include BBA, B.Com, M.Com, B.Sc./M.Sc., BA/MA, M.Phil., Ph.D and other courses. 

EASC Erode not only deals in undergraduate and postgraduate courses but also deals in PhD and Diploma in Clinical Laboratory Techniques. Since the college is affiliated to Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, thus the college also deals with Certification courses in Library and Information Science. 

The Erode Arts and Science College provides programmes in the fields of management, Sciences and Arts including courses like BBA, BA, BSc, BCom, MCom, MPhil, PhD and many more with several specialisations. EASC admissions process depends on the number of seats available in each department. Erode Arts and Science College admissions will be based on merit in the qualifying examination. As per the 2025 report published by the college, a total of 1350 students are placed in the year 2024-25 as compared to 1363 students in the year 2023-24. The placements team approached many companies for recruitment drives where several big companies like TCS and IDFC First Bank took part in the drive offering students a median salary package of Rs 2,58,000 - Rs 3,75,000.
