    About Faculty of Law, PES University, Bengaluru

    The Faculty of Law, PES University Bengaluru, was set up in 2017; thus, it is a young budding law college in the country. This is a co- educational institution situated in the energetic city of Bengaluru and properly affiliated with Bar Council of India. There are three specialised integrated law programmes available in the faculty, in order to accommodate everyone. The institute consists of 7 highly qualified professors, which guarantees a concentrated atmosphere for learning. The Faculty of Law is integrated within the framework of the overall PES University education network in India so the Faculty can draw from a pool of expertise from the founders and affiliated schools.

    The Faculty of Law offers today’s students a host of improved amenities to address the demands of enhanced learning facilities. The library provides unique inter-disciplinary services and collections which also provides a platform for inter-disciplinary learning. The college has well designed IT facilities to address energetic needs of the students and to face swiftly the rapid advancements in IT sector. For aspiring lawyers the moot court facility is a valuable practice opportunity. Also on campus is facilities for sporting activities, an events and seminar hall, and an alumni association to offer a complete education experience.

    The Faculty of Law currently delivers three full-time, integrated law programmes and each programme takes five years to complete. These include BBA LLB (Hons), BA LLB (Hons), and B.Com LLB (Hons). The total approved intake for these programmes is 240 and out of these the institute offers 120 seats for BBA LLB (Hons), 60 for BA LLB (Hons) and 60 B.Com LLB (Hons) classes. This wide variety of programmes enables the student to do a joint programme of law with business, arts, or commerce, making the course a multi-disciplinary one.

    The admission procedures in the Faculty of Law, PES University are highly competitive, and several ways are given importance in order to enrol the students. The PES Scholastic Aptitude Test (PESSAT) is mandatory for all students and is the main and most common way of being admitted to the university. PESSAT being an online exam, any candidate who registers for it will have to write the exam and sit for an interview at the same day at the institution. Candidates with a valid score in CLAT or LSAT-India can go directly for the interview after registration for PESSAT. The intake approved for this programme is 120 seats.

    Faculty of Law at PES University BA LLB Admission Process

    BA LLB (Hons): This five-year integrated programme combines arts with law. The admission procedure is again similar to the BBA LLB (Hons) programme. Candidates are required to register for PESSAT, take the test, and attend the interview on the same day. Those with valid CLAT or LSAT-India scores can skip the PESSAT test but must register and attend the interview. The approved intake for this programme is 60 seats.
