Faculty of Law, University of Allahabad, established in the year 1872, located in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, is an illustrious constituent college. Furnished with various law programmes, rich experience of more than 150 years, this prestigious institution tries to shape  the legal wisdom of the students. It is approved by the Bar Council of India and holds recognition by the University Grants Commission for the desired standards in legal education. The college is co-educational by nature and has a teaching staff that consists of 11 committed and professional teachers who would look after the personal needs of the students. 

For the students, the Faculty of Law consists of a number of facilities that help in increasing their academic experience. Housed in separate hostels for boys and girls, the institution offers decent accommodation to students from out of town. The Faculty of Law offers the following 3 courses: LLB, BA LLB (Hons), and LLM. In the undergraduate section, there are 300 three-year LLB programmes for candidates with a bachelor's degree in any stream. The five-year integrated programme of BA LLB (Hons) is of 120 seats and is for students once they have directly passed out of standard 12.

The admissions to the Faculty of Law, University of Allahabad, are granted in a very competitive and merit-based way. In getting admission to the LLB programme, the students undergo the Allahabad University LLB Admission Test (LAT). Same is the procedure through which admissions are given to the BA LLB (Hons) course. In this way, it ensures that the most meritorious of students avail of this course. Also, the faculty accepts scores from the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) for admissions to undergraduate programme.
