The Food Craft Institute is located on the Campus of the renowned Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). The Institute was set up under the aegis of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India in 1984, as an autonomous institute and is governed by an executive body that consists of the representatives of the Central Government, State Government, and Aligarh Muslim University. At present, the Institute is financed through a grant-in-aid by the Department of Tourism, Government of Uttar Pradesh. 

The institute is currently offering seven different courses in hospitality operations. Food Craft Institute Aligarh Courses include Diploma PGD in various disciplines. Admission is done on the basis of past academic performance followed by the written test and personal interview.

The Food Craft Institute Aligarh is committed to academic excellence in hospitality education. The institute has provided almost 100% industrial training & 80% job placement to students till date.
