      FDDI Chennai Admission Process

      Footwear Design & Development Institute, Chennai offers admission to undergraduate and postgraduate. Candidates must ensure that they meet the FDDI Chennai admission eligibility criteria before applying for admission. The entire FDDI Chennai admission process is entrance test-based. 

      FDDI Chennai offers courses including  Bachelor of Design in Footwear Design & Production (B.Des. – FDP),  Bachelor of Design in Fashion Design(B.Des. – FD), Master of Design in Footwear Design & Production (M.Des. – FDP). For FDDI Chennai B.Des admission, candidates need to appear for the Footwear Design & Development Institute All India Selection Test (FDDI AIST) conducted by the institute. FDDI Chennai M.Des admission is also based on the entrance exam- FDDI AIST. Later, candidates who qualify for the entrance exam have to participate in the FDDI AIST counseling.

      FDDI Chennai Application Process 2025

      • Visit the official website of FDDI and register.

      • Fill in the FDDI Chennai application form and upload essential documents such as photographs and signature. 

      • Then, to complete the FDDI Chennai application process, candidates need to pay the application fee (Rs. 600 for General category and Rs. 300 for SC/ ST/ OBC category) and submit the application form. 

      • Take a printout of the application form for future reference.

      FDDI Chennai B.Des Admission 2025

      Footwear Design & Development Institute, Chennai offers two undergraduate programmes. FDDI Chennai courses at the UG level include B.Des Footwear Design & Production and B.Des Fashion Design. The duration of FDDI Chennai B.Des courses is 4 years. FDDI Chennai UG eligibility criteria are that candidates must have passed 10+2 in any stream from any recognised board. FDDI Chennai UG selection criteria are based on candidates' performance in the entrance exam- FDDI AIST.

      FDDI Chennai B.Des Admission Process 2025

      • First, candidates should fulfill the FDDI Chennai B.Des eligibility criteria.

      • Fill out the FDDI AIST application form online and pay the application fee. 

      • Next, candidates have to appear for FDDI AIST conducted by Footwear Design and Development Institute.

      • All eligible candidates with any valid national-level entrance exam scorecard are exempted from appearing in FDDI AIST.

      • Following that, FDDI will declare the result and the merit list will be prepared based on the result of FDDI AIST.

      • Candidates who qualify FDDI AIST will have to participate in the FDDI AIST counselling.

      • Later, candidates are required to get their documents verified and pay the FDDI Chennai admission fee.

      FDDI Chennai M.Des Admission 2025

      Footwear Design & Development Institute Chennai offers one postgraduate programme. FDDI Chennai course at PG level includes M.Des Footwear Design and Production. The duration of the FDDI Chennai M.Des course is 2 years. FDDI Chennai PG eligibility criteria are that candidates should have completed a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university. The FDDI Chennai PG selection process is done based on candidates' scores in FDDI AIST.

      • Next, the institute will declare the FDDI AIST result and the merit list will be prepared based on the FDDI AIST result.

      • Candidates who qualify FDDI AIST will have to participate in the FDDI AIST counselling.

      • Further, seats are allotted after verification of documents and FDDI Chennai admission fee payment.
