Gandhi Academy of Technical Education (GATE Nalgonda) is an affiliated college, which was set up in the year of 2008 in Nalgonda town of Telangana state. The institute is accredited to All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and presently, the institute offers various technical and management courses. Located in 13.77 acres, the GATE Nalgonda has a total of 649 students and 282 faculty members. The institute delivers 23 courses across 4 degree levels of specialization in engineering, technology and management. GATE College in Nalgonda is renowned for offering technical education and skills practical training.

The institute has provided the following and modern amenities that will enhance learning and general personal development among students. It has more than 50000 volumes available for the students to use during their research and other forms of learning. Modern laboratories meet different department needs to provide practical exercises.  It has an event/seminar facility in an auditorium for use by all students and members of staff as well as a student and Staff canteen and a Health facility with First aid station. GATE Nalgonda also has a focus on health to include gym and sports amenities. It has Wi-Fi connectivity and over 2000 computer nodes or high end servers to keep students future-ready equipped with the latest facilities. The institute has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls for out of the town students with neat and clean accommodation and hygienically prepared food facility.

Under the administration of GATE, Nalgonda offers twenty-three different courses that are accredited as full-time undergraduate, postgraduate as well as diploma courses. Flexibly structured programs provided by the institute are available in engineering, management, and advance technology. The total intake for all courses has been approved to be 1270 which gives an idea of the institute’s capacity to accommodate a good number of students.

Basically at GATE Nalgonda the admission is conducted on merit basis and regulation of admissions is controlled by state government and some regulatory agencies. For engineering programs the institute consider the scores of Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) only. This competitive examination is very useful in determining the admission of candidates to different technical courses.
