Gangaputra Ayurvedic Medical College, Kandela, was established in 2015 and is affiliated with a college located in Jind, Haryana. This 10-acre co-educational campus is in pursuance of quality education in the said medicine. The institution is approved by the CCIM, New Delhi, and the course offered under the college is BAMS—the Bachelor's degree in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery. Even though the total enrolment of students at the institution is 117, there are 42 faculty members, which allows for a very good positive student-to-teacher ratio for better attention and quality education.

This course, as an undergraduate program, runs for six years and comprises theoretical and practical acquaintance with the basics and principles of Ayurveda.

The procedure for the admission process at Gangaputra Ayurvedic Medical College is merit-based and follows a very transparent approach. The first and foremost criterion of the institute is that the aspirant candidate must qualify for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Candidates in the BAMS course will be selected according to the results of the NEET by Shri Krishna AYUSH University, Kurukshetra, Haryana.
