Gauhati Medical College, Guwahati was established in the year 1947 by Dr. John Berry White, MRCS, a British Surgeon of the East India Company. The institute was established through the up-gradation of Berry White Medical School at Dibrugarh in the year 1947. The institution is the first medical college in Assam. Gauhati Medical College is affiliated to Gauhati University. The institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses to the students in the field of medical science.

Richa, Gauhati Medical College doesn't have B.Pharmacy as a course. It offers MBBS as an Undergraduate course and MD/MS in various specialisations as PG Course. yes exam is conducted for admission to BPharm. University organize it's own exam. State organize state level entrance exam. As you mentioned Guwhati in your tag, you can appear ASSAM state entrance exam or University BPharm exam for your state. You can also go for other state options.
