GHG College of Teacher Training is the post JPT, 2012 college in Ludhiana, Punjab which has been set up as a standalone institution. This is a co-educational institution recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and focuses on the issues of teachers training. The college occupies a small area of 0.85 acres and provides students with an efficient environment for learning to become teachers. GHG College take a total of 100 students and employed faculty of 9 members so that provide a personal touches and quality education. 

Facilities of GHG College of Teacher Training includes a host of infrastructures that aim at helping in the learning process and development of students. Such are hostel for male and female students, to ensure the needy ones find decent places to stay. Speaking of available facilities, of great importance is the question of library containing all necessary literature for researches and students’ work. All the laboratories present in various departments of the college provide practical training facilities and the auditorium is used for meetings and educational purposes. For physical fitness and recreation there gym and facilities that include various types of sports. It also has a governmental college focused on the welfare of students through having a health center to treat minor ailments. Furthermore, it avails modern learning IT infrastructure for enhancing learning modes by applying latest techniques, a cafeteria than cooking facility for having snacks, transport means for the students and workers to commute in.

GHG College of Teacher Training currently offers one full-time course: As a teacher training diploma, it is known as the Diploma in Elementary Education or D.El.Ed. This two-year programme is designed to accept up to 50 students and such a number is suitable for the college with the vision of sustaining reasonable number of students per class. 

GHG College of Teacher Training follows merit based admission policy, following the norms of state government and UT Administration. Students through the qualifying examination, entrance test or other mode of selection as may be prescribed. It also means that only qualified and motivated persons are encouraged to take up teaching profession.
