Golaghat Engineering College is an engineering college located in Golaghat town, Assam, which was officially founded in 2018. This is an affiliated college with AICTE, and the college strictly focuses on quality engineering education. Located at Amagor with a campus area of 44 acres, GEC provides three undergraduate engineering Programmes, admitting 180 students per academic year. The college has a faculty of 6 members, which will cater to the student's personal attendance.

Golaghat Engineering College also believes in ensuring that its students learn in the best environment possible. Currently, GEC provides a variety of services and amenities for academic and individual development. These books exceed 500 and are distributed over engineering and social sciences, basic sciences, and humanities and are useful for students and researchers. Computer laboratory: The college has a computer centre with access to 29 PCs, a printer, and a central UPS system for the necessary infrastructure as an information technology support system for students. To develop these skills, there is a computerised language laboratory containing 11 computers and Wordsworth English Language Lab software.

Golaghat Engineering College currently offers three full-time programmes: B.Tech Chemical Engineering, B.Tech Civil Engineering and B.Tech Mechanical Engineering. These undergraduate degree programmes with a duration of four (4) years are aimed at offering students a good grounding that will enable practicing engineers to succeed in this line of business. 

The admission process at Golaghat Engineering College is centralised with regards to the merit list, and it follows certain standard procedures. Those candidates who are interested in admission to GEC need to compulsorily appear for the Assam Combined Entrance Examination, known as Assam CEE, organised by the Director of Technical Education, Assam.
