Degree wise Admission Process

B.A. (Bachelor of Arts): Admission to the B.A. program of Government College for Women, Shahzadpur takes the lion's share of 160. It has a huge number of subject combinations making it pretty popular amongst students.

B.Com (Bachelor in Commerce): For the B.Com program, the college has 80 seats available and the admissions are based on the merit list derived from the marks secured in the 10+2 examination, giving preference to students having an educational background of Commerce or related subjects in higher secondary.

B.Sc Non-Medical: Like the previous two courses, this one has also an intake of 80 students. Admission in this course is basing on the merit list made up of marks obtained in 10+2 exams, with emphasis on the marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

B.Sc Physical Science: The college takes 60 students in this area of specialization. Admission is on the merit list prepared from the performance at the 10+2 examination with a focus on science subjects.

B.Com Computer Applications: This specialized program has 30 seats available. Admission is granted based on the merit list prepared from the 10+2 examination results, with preference given to students with a background in Commerce and Computer Applications.

M.Com (Master in Commerce): The college also offers a postgraduate course in Commerce, open for entry by 60 students. Admissions to the M. Com course are mainly on the merit list prepared from the marks in the qualifying bachelor's degree, preferably in Commerce or a related field.
