The Government College in Kalaburagi, has its origin in the year 1932, and is an autonomous institution that is situated in Kalaburagi, Karnataka. This private coeducational institute is associated with Gulbarga University and provides a comprehensive number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in arts, science, commerce, management and IT. The college occupies an area of 11.03 acres; it has a total student enrollment of 2,941 and teaching staff of 97. Government College, Kalaburagi also excels in the variety of degrees on offer addressing every field of study with 35 courses under 7 programs.

In the undergraduate level, students may pursue a B.Com, BBM, a wide number of B.Sc specializations including Chemistry, Botany and Zoology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and many more; and a broad variety of BA combinations including History, Economics, Political Science, Sociology and many language options. Its postgraduate programs are M.Com, MA – Economics, Hindi, English, History, M.Sc Computer Science, Mathematics, Microbiology, Physics and Zoology. All programs of study are available in full-time basis only; the undergraduate programs take three Calendar years while the Postgraduate programs take two Calendar years at the most.
