Government College Madappally is one of the premier education institutions is in Vadakara, Kozhikode established in the year 1958. This affiliated college with an area of 27.19 Acres has got accreditation from National Assessment and Accreditation Council(NAAC). It has 1,659 students in total and 77 faculty members; the college provides 22 programs in 7complete courses. Government College, Madappally was highly accredited for its well-coordinated programs affording the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in Arts, Science and Commerce respectively.

The college has many assets of recreational services that are intended to improve the quality of student learning process. Being one of the establishments that have always been associated with serious study, the library contains not only meaningful books, but also books that are printed and sometimes only contain a few pages, manuscripts, and multimedia publications. There is a provision of 22 courses for fulltime undergraduate, postgraduate and even doctoral courses in the institute.
