One of the most renowned establishments in Maharashtra in the world of teacher education is the Government College of Education, Buldhana, which came into existence in the year 1968. Since its establishment, it has been an affiliated college, located near Devi Mandir on Chikhali Road, and has shaped the future of education for the past five decades. This is the institute accredited by NAAC and under the care of NCTE, which promotes quality education in this region. The spacious campus stretches across 22 acres, providing a home to 101 students with 11 experienced educators to train them. 

There is an excellent range of facilities that would improve the learning process among students in Government College of Education, Buldhana. The campus has a hostel provision for both boys and girls, which can provide comfort to students coming from other towns. An equipped library works as a knowledge bank, and the computer lab with LAN and Wi-Fi connectivity keeps the students updated with the present digital age. The college has subject-specific laboratories, an auditorium for events and seminars, and a health centre with first-aid facilities. For all-round development, students can avail themselves of sports facilities and a gymnasium. It also provides the campus with a convenience store for daily needs and allows for plenty of parking for both students and staff members. 

To develop quality educators, the Government College of Education, Buldhana provides two full-time courses,  the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Master of Education (M.Ed). Both B.Ed and M.Ed courses are two-year courses with an intake capacity of 50 students in each, that is, 100 in total. These courses are aimed to equip students with ideal theoretical knowledge and practical skills for leading a satisfactory role as an educator. The focus of the college on core education degrees allowed more special attention to be given to and greater in-depth learning in the subject of teacher education. 

Government College of Education, Buldhana strictly does the admission through the marks collected under the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. In B.Ed, it is admitted as per the policy of the State Govt, UT administration, and the University. Likewise, in the case of the M.Ed course selection is done according to the policy provided by the state govt, and/or UT administration, or central govt, or university. The institution further has an active alumni network that develops relationships between past and present students, adding up to the rich educational legacy of the institution.
