Questions related to Government College of Engineering, Dharmapuri
which college is best kongu engineeing college or Government college of engineering dharmapuri?
Let me start with the disadvantages of kongu engineering college:
Remote location (but environment is greenish and good weather conditions)
Mobile phones not allowed for 1st yr students and incase of hostels ( for girls) phones are strictly not allowed
Incase you choose hostel, you(girls) are not allowed to go outings on weekends and special permissions from parents are required to visit them.
Coming to Advantages:
One of the top 50 colleges in India, considering IIT’s and NIT’s
The top college in tamilnadu when it comes to placements (will brief at the end)
Incase if you're a study freak, excellent library facilities and you've got good access to topmost journals. Dont worry if you're not the one, many intercolleges functions are going to be there to enjoy the school life
I dont want to specify more on advantages, there are many more things to say interms of advantages.
PLACEMENTS & COMPANIES:
MECH - Hyundai, Renault Nissan, TVS groups,Vedanta
CSE/ IT - Zoho,HP,Amazon,27L.
Food Tech - Nestle,Diarymilk (100% placement).
Common companies like CTS,Infosys,Accenture,Wipro are going to be visiting all departments.
I have metioned only specific courses and top companies visiting those departments.
Incase you're joining KEC its are going to be a really good decision.

is government college of engineering dharmapuri is a good college?how is the placement cell?
Hi...Firstly you opted for a government college for your engineering which is a great choice. The faculty in the government colleges are industry experienced faculty who share their immense knowledge and experience with students which is a great way of foundation in learning.
Placements - Coming to placements since the college was established in 2013 , the chances og getting placed is comparatively less .Recently 60-70 students got placed when the companies visied the college. Some the big companies visited are SIFY,TCS and smaller companies also reach the campus to recruit students. It's a growing college. The highest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA
The institution is affiliated to anna university. The courses offered here are -
Civil engineering , Computer science engineering , Mechanical engineering , Electrical and electronics engineering , Electronics and communication engineering.(each branch has an intake of 60 students)
Infrastructure- The campus has great facilities such as Canteen , gym , library , laboratories , 4 seminar halls , auditorium , health centre , wifi facility , 175 hostel rooms for boys and 175 hostel rooms for girls.
ALL THE BEST.
Hope this helps.
