Government Degree College, Armoor (GDC Armoor) is one of the colleges in Armoor of the Telangana State. This affiliated college was established in 1966 and since then it has been providing education services for more than fifty years. GDC Armoor is located on 50 acres of land and hence it have appropriate environment for learning. The college has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), in order to show the quality of education imparted. The college has 527 students and has 19 faculty members who give the college a desirable student-teacher ratio, assuring individual care for the learners. GDC Armoor currently has eight different courses in three programmes which provide students with various interests and goals.

Government Degree College has provided a number of amenities to complement the learning facilities in the college. Such comforts include a centrally located library containing over twenty thousand and different categorised and specialised books used to support the learning programmes of the students and the teaching faculty. It boasts well-equipped laboratories that serve various departments that give a practical experience of the various courses. To the lean and sports inclined there is a multi-gym and several sports facilities are offered on site. The college also has computerised teaching laboratories for subjects such as B.A., B.Com, and B.Sc, to ensure the students have knowledge and learn, the need to operate computers. Other infrastructures include a cafeteria, clinic, and a hall for functions and meetings, which are all other parts of a well rounded university.

GDC Armoor provides 8 programmes like, Bachelor of Arts BA, Bachelor of Science B.Sc & Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com). The B.Sc programme is more varied, the given disciplines for specialisation is Mathematics, Physics and Computer, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and Chemistry, and Botany, Zoology and Computer. The BA programme can be taken in two languages, English and Urdu to fulfill students’ choices for the languages. The curriculum of B.Com programme comprises a computer application specific course. The overall capacity of students for all programmes is 527 which mean that there is a more moderate number of students but at the same time this enables the university to provide more personalise educational experience.
