Government Degree College, Doongi, Rajouri was established in 2019 thus is consider a young college of higher learning in Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is a coeducational college that is affiliated, and it provides undergraduate courses that can best suit any academic passion. The college located opposite to Government Higher Secondary School, Sasal Kote Doongi of Rajouri district is making a lush green and beautiful campus. Present size of student is 32 and number of faculty members are 9 which make student-teacher ratio desirable and exchanging facilities provide best services to the students.

The college has put in place various infrastructure that would compliment the learning process of its students. A well-equipped library has thousands of book on different themes and has various subscriptions of magazines, periodicals, newspapers and other scholarly sources. Sports activities as well as most playing fields are run by the Physical Education Department which is situated in the Arts Block. Students enjoy well-developed sports complex with cricket ground having perfectly designed turf, hockey grounds and football ground and indoor hall as well as facilities for basketball, volleyball, tennis and badminton. The college also promotes sporting trivia within college and university categories with selected athletes even participating in national games.

Government Degree College, Doongi, Rajouri offers four full-time undergraduate programs: University degree programs include: the Bachelor of Arts (BA), the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), the Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), and the Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA). All of these programs take three years to complete and at the end of the program, the student will be well equipped in his/her line of specialty.
