It is one of the renowned institutions known as Government Degree College, Pattan, more efficiently understood as GDC Pattan that started in 2005. This college for men & women is based in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir and is affiliated to a university with continuing focus on teaching-learning process. Situated on a large piece of land measuring 39.46 acres, GDC Pattan has recently been recognized by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) to speak of its academic achievements. As for now the college has 2,513 students including students from distance education; and 28 competent faculties.
