Government Degree College, Rapur, an esteemed institution in SPSR Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, this one-through-four-the-college has been the cradle to nurture youth. The present admission process at GDC Rapur is simple and straightforward allowing students to apply for the courses according to their preferences irrespective of background.  The minimum criteria for understanding all the undergraduate programs at GDC Rapur is that the candidate must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) from a recognized board. Candidates desiring to follow the science-based programs must be in science stream after their 10+2.

Application Process

1. Announcement of Admissions: The College will start admissions for the new academic year on its official website and other media channels.

2. Application Form: Interested candidates can obtain their applications in hard copy form from the college campus or downloaded from the official website. 

3. Form Filling: The form must be filled with extreme care with correct and proper information. The applicants must cross-verify all provided information before they submit the application.

4. Document Submission: Candidates are required to submit their filled format along with the necessary documents. Usually, he/she is expected to submit the following documents:

• Marksheets of both 10th and 12
• Transfer Certificate
• Character Certificate
• Caste Certificate (if applicable)
• Recent passport size photographs

5. Application Submission: The filled application forms along with necessary enclosures are required to be submitted at the college admission office on or before the stipulated deadline.

6. Merit List: A merit list will be prepared by the college on the basis of the candidates' marks in their qualifying examination (10+2).

7. Counselling and Seat Allocation: Candidates will be invited to participate in the counseling session where they will be allowed to choose the desired program according to their merit ranking and availability of seats.

8. Fee Payment: The students whose name appears on the final list must deposit the admission fees.

9. Verification of Documents: The college will verify all documents that the candidate submitted to warrant that they are genuine. Admission would be provided subject to the genuineness of these documents.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.A. - History, Economics, and Political Science (Self-Finance): This degree-and-course element intends on promoting students inclined towards humanities and arts. Candidates should have at least passed the 12th (Higher Secondary) from some recognized board. Upon its completion, the course provides an understanding of historical events, economic principles, and political systems

B.Com. (Self-Finance): This degree level deals majorly with students having ambitions connected to the business world. Prerequisites for this include Higher Secondary (10+2) from any recognized board. Subjects covered through the courses range from the basics in the field of commerce, accountancy, and business management.

B.Com. Computer Applications: This is known as a course under B.Com. that amalgamates computer applications into the traditional B.Com. course as this is a prestigious and lucrative career option for commerce students. The candidates who have Finalized 10+1 or Secondary School Certificate (10+2)-Higher Secondary from any recognized Board/Institution. The course aspects are mainly with the aim of introducing digital commerce concerns faced through a digitalized commerce environment.

B.Sc. Mathematics, Statistics & Computer Science (Self-Finance): The program is designed to suit candidates passionately inclined towards mathematics and having a knack for computer science. Eligibility criteria state that students must have cleared Higher Secondary (10+2) in any stream of science branch. This curricular plan aims to build a solid foundation in subjects such as computation techniques and discrete mathematics, further on, enhancing the bigger studies in applied statistics and computer usage.
