Government Engineering College, Barmer, is a relatively young institution, established in 2018 as part of the BARC Scheme, targeted to fulfil the need for quality technical education in Rajasthan. Situated at Jaisalmer Road, National Highway 68, Barmer, this affiliated college has reached the extent of educational fame in the area rather promptly. Government Engineering College is affiliated with Bikaner Technical University, Bikaner. Government Engineering College has effectively acquired or developed various infrastructure to support its academic objectives. The Library and Information Centre (LIC) is the campus information hub, and its vision is to become the knowledge hub of the campus, accumulating and disseminating information in all disciplines of engineering with especial focus on petroleum engineering and renewable energy.
