Government Engineering College, Buxar commonly known as GEC Buxar is one of the recently set-up Government Engineering Colleges. Co-educational institute-affiliated College was established in the year 2019 and approved by All India Council for Technical Education, AICTE. It is located in Buxar, Bihar. The present faculty strength is 27, with an enrolment of 127 students .
The Institute has provided the following facilities for students to sustain life on the campus :. There is a separate boys' and girls' hostel so that students coming from different parts of the country may be assured of a decent living environment. A well-stocked library serves as the knowledge resource centre. Wi-Fi connectivity in the college campus ensures that students never lose their connect with the digital world. Department-based laboratories form part of the infrastructural facilities in GEC Buxar for hands-on learning. Government Engineering College, Buxar has also taken care of health-related issues of its students by making a health centre available with first-aid facilities. The college also provides sports facilities and a gym for the workout so that students can work out to maintain a healthy balance between studies and recreation. Other facilities include an auditorium for functions and seminars, a cafeteria to help refresh oneself, and easy access to banks and ATMs.
GEC Buxar offers four full-time B. Tech courses, each for four years. Courses include Civil Engineering, B.Tech Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and B.Tech. Electronics and Communication Engineering. Each course has an approved intake of 60 students each, totaling a capacity of 240 in all programs. Government Engineering College Buxar (GEC Buxar) grants admission into the B.Tech programmes through examinations of the combination for competitive entrance Bihar (BCECE) organised by the controlling body of that exam in the Bihar government. Government Engineering College Buxar admission is done in merit, based on the BCECE conducted in two stages: the Screening Examination and the Main Examination, where a candidate is required to appear in both stages, which assess knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Government Engineering College Buxar Application Process
Online Registration: The applicants will, in the first stage, log on to the official BECIE website and fill the application form.
Uploading Document: They are expected to upload scanned copies of the documents, photo, and signature requisite.
Application Fee: The application fee shall be paid online following BCECE regulations.
Examinations: The screening exam of BCECE shall be taken up, and if successful for the main exam.
Results shall be uploaded on the BCECE official website.
If selected, registration shall be done for counseling.

All admissions into B.Tech programmes are through BCECE. The students should have passed 10+2 or equivalent degree with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. They have to satisfy the minimum marks criterion set by the BCECE Board and qualify in both stages of the examination.

College Infrastructure
Infrastructure of any college is most important thing. This is outstanding of my government Engineering College Buxar. Computer labs are good,laboratories have all equipment. Robotics labs are here all the thing is present.
Campus is very small
