Government Engineering College Buxar (GEC Buxar) grants admission into the B.Tech programs through examinations of the combination for competitive entrance Bihar (BCECE) organized by the controlling body of that exam in the Bihar government. The admission is done in merit, based on the BCECE conducted in two stages: the Screening Examination and the Main Examination, where a candidate is required to appear in both stages, which assess knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
The student has to keep a regular watch about the important dates, syllabus, and application procedure in detail on the BCECE prospectus or official website.
Application Process
How to Apply:
Online Registration: The applicants will, in the first stage, log on to the official BECIE website and fill the application form.
Uploading Document: They are expected to upload scanned copies of the documents, photo, and signature requisite.
Application Fee: The application fee shall be paid online following BCECE regulations.
Examinations: The screening exam of BCECE shall be taken up, and if successful for the main exam.
Result and Counseling:
Results shall be uploaded on the BCECE official website.
If selected, registration shall be done for counseling.
Document Verification: The B. Tech aspirants have to attend the document verification and counseling with the following original documents:
BCECE admit card and result
Class X and XII mark sheets and certificates
Category certificate (if applicable)
Domicile certificate (if applying under Bihar State Quota)
Seat Allotment and Fee Payment: The seats shall be allotted on the basis of the ranks and preferences, and the admission fee to be paid and documents verified to secure admission.
Degree-wise Admission Process
B.Tech Programs (4 Years Duration):
Computer Science and Engineering – 120 Seats
Civil Engineering – 60 Seats
Mechanical Engineering – 60 Seats
Electrical Engineering – 60 Seats
Electronics and Communication Engineering – 60 Seats
All admissions into B.Tech programs are through BCECE. The students should have passed 10+2 or equivalent degree with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. They have to satisfy the minimum marks criterion set by the BCECE Board and qualify in both stages of the examination. The selection and allotment of the seats shall be made based on BCECE merit and counseling.
Currently Pursuing here the Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering. But this college provide 4 branch over there which are Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics and Communication. 60 students in each departments with total intake of 240 students.
