Government Engineering College, Buxar Admission Process
Government Engineering College Buxar (GEC Buxar) grants admission into the B.Tech programmes through examinations of the combination for competitive entrance Bihar (BCECE) organised by the controlling body of that exam in the Bihar government. Government Engineering College Buxar admission is done in merit, based on the BCECE conducted in two stages: the Screening Examination and the Main Examination, where a candidate is required to appear in both stages, which assess knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
The student has to keep a regular watch on Government Engineering College Buxar website about the important dates, syllabus, and application procedure in detail on the BCECE prospectus or official website.
Government Engineering College Buxar Application Process
Online Registration: The applicants will, in the first stage, log on to the official BECIE website and fill the application form.
Uploading Document: They are expected to upload scanned copies of the documents, photo, and signature requisite.
Application Fee: The application fee shall be paid online following BCECE regulations.
Examinations: The screening exam of BCECE shall be taken up, and if successful for the main exam.
Results shall be uploaded on the BCECE official website.
If selected, registration shall be done for counseling.
- Document Verification: The B. Tech aspirants have to attend the document verification and counseling with the needed original documents.
- Seat Allotment and Fee Payment: The seats shall be allotted on the basis of the ranks and preferences, and the admission fee to be paid and documents verified to secure admission.
Government Engineering College Buxar B.Tech Admission Process
The college offers 5 specialisations under the B.Tech programme:
Computer Science and Engineering – 120 Seats
Civil Engineering – 60 Seats
Mechanical Engineering – 60 Seats
Electrical Engineering – 60 Seats
Electronics and Communication Engineering – 60 Seats
All admissions into B.Tech programmes are through BCECE. The students should have passed 10+2 or equivalent degree with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. They have to satisfy the minimum marks criterion set by the BCECE Board and qualify in both stages of the examination.

BCECE admit card and result
Class X and XII mark sheets and certificates
Category certificate (if applicable)
Domicile certificate (if applying under Bihar State Quota)
The selection and allotment of the seats shall be made based on BCECE merit and counseling.

Labs are equipped with necessary instruments and practical facilities. The library has a good collection of books and study materials. Wi-Fi and internet facilities are also available for students. The campus environment is safe, peaceful, and suitable for learning. Sports and other extracurricular facilities are also provided. Overall, the college provides a comfortable and positive environment for students’ academic growth.

Our college infrastructure has a well developed and modern infrastructure that supports both academic and extracurricular activity.the classroom are equipped with smart board and proper ventilation..

Campus Life is bad because campus area is small.
Placements
The placement cell of our college is active and supportive.it regularly conduct training session and mock interview and aptitude tests to prepare students for campus recruitment.overall placement is good.
Value For Money
Fee structure of my college is approx7thousand per annum.

I am studying in electronic Engineering department. I am first year student. My classroom capacity is about 100 student and ther is 60 seats in my ece branch I study since 25th july 2025 .my Academic is good.
College Infra
Infrastructure of any college is most important thing. This is outstanding of my government Engineering College Buxar. Computer labs are good,laboratories have all equipment. Robotics labs are here all the thing is present.
Campus Life
Campus area is about 10 to 12 acres so Campus life is good and Campus is very new.
Placements
Placement is not good in my college. Computer Engineering Engineering get more Placement then other branches but highest package offers 10 lakh from my ece branch .in 2023 first batch passed from my college and get placed.
Value For Money
Every middle class family wants this type of government Engineering Colleges.
