Government First Grade College, Irkalgada (GFGC Irkalgada) is co-educational college started in the year 2007. This affiliated college is spread over 2.5 acres of land. GFGC Irkalgada is an NAAC recognised college that aims to maintain the standard of education. The college provides five undergraduate programmes in two degree levels with total students’ capacity of four hundred and four. The institute has a faculty strength of 7 and therefore, the institute has a better student teacher ratio. Established under the GFGC Irkalgada, the faculty offers Arts and Commerce streams which offer a wealth of programmes for interested learners.

The college's goal is to make sure that all the students get a balanced college education. This B.Com programme is relevant for students with passion in Commerce discipline. The total number of students enroled of all courses is 404, 80 seats are provided for B.Com and 40 seats are provided for each of the BA courses. Here, the course offerings are diverse, allowing learners to select programmes of their choice with regard to their career choice.
