Government first grade college Manki, started in the year 2007, is an affiliated college situated at Honnavar taluk, Uttara Kannada District, Karnataka. It operates across a 3. 21 acre area and offers numerous undergraduate courses to 218 students. Currently the faculty of the college has a strength of eight members, and this makes the student teacher ratio reasonable, thus enabling the college to attend to each learner individually as needed. There are five full time course being taught by this college in three degree courses; arts, commerce as well as science. The college was accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) so that what the college offers meets the necessary quality of education and encouraged academic success.

Government first grade college has a number of facilities for students to improve their learning processes in the college. Among these comforts, a long library with more than 8 thousand books: textbooks, references, and books in the Kannada language are concentrated. Manki’s Government First Grade College has five courses in its portfolio, all at the undergraduate level, and all full-time. The courses span across three main streams: Arts, Commerce, and Science. In the Arts stream, the college offers two Bachelor of Arts (BA) programmes: B.A. in History, Economics & Political Science and B.A. in History, Sociology & Optional Kannada. For the learners with interest in business, there is a programme called Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.).
