Government Homoeopathic Medical College started in 1976 at Calicut is one of the frontline homoeopathic institutions in the state of Kerala, India. Affiliated to Calicut University, this college is situated at Karaparamba, Kozhikode and over an acre of 4.32 acres in total. Affiliated to Central Council of Homeopathy (CCH), New Delhi the institute provides various courses in homoeopathic medicine. The college offers a child centred education with a total student enrolment of 371 and total faculty members of twenty. The institute provides 5 courses at 2 different study levels and focuses on different spheres of homoeopathy for the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Government Homoeopathic Medical College has all round amenities that are aimed at improving learning capabilities and other aspects of a student. Government Homoeopathic Medical College, Calicut, has a number of courses that provides learning in homoeopathic medicine. In terms of programme delivery, the institute offers 5 full time programmes consisting of both bachelor and master’s degree. At the undergraduate level, the college offers 63 seat BHMS (Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery) course. For postgraduate studies, the college provides four specialised MD programmes: MD Homoeopathic Materia Medica, MD Organon of Medicine and Philosophy, MD Repertory, MD Practice of Medicine. Altogether, these postgraduate courses recruit 28 students in total for admission. The total number of students enrolled by the college is 91 across the various courses offered but due to its effort of offering quality education it opens limited intakes per course in order to regulate the number of students per class.
Admission policies of various programmes in the Government Homoeopathic Medical College, Calicut are aimed to enrol most suitable candidates. For the BHMS programme, admission will be through the candidate’s rank in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) which is a common medical entrance exam in India. Candidates who wish to join the offered MD programmes have to undertake the All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) to be admitted to postgraduate programmes. These examinations help to level the playing field and compete for the best students and meeting the lofty academic requirements of the academy. The college follows admission schedules of these national level examinations which are mainly done on an annual basis. The building is currently under many construction works and for the government has approved many projects. There are two bulidings , new one with multispeciality OPs and IP patients . Each department have its own space with labs and discussion rooms ,classrooms for each individual batches , library ,reading room,seminar hall, hostel facility etc

Yes , it is AIAPGET. NEET PG is the exam for Doctor of Medicine ,Master in Surgery and PG Diploma courses in India. NEET PG scores are taken for admission into post-MBBS DNB courses so it is for MBBS students.Homeopathy is an AYUSH course so ,AIAPGET(All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test)-2020 is conducted for all Postgraduate AYUSH courses which includes Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha & Homeopathy system of medicine.Both All India and state quota seats will come under this exam.The results of the same are about to be declared soon.
