    About Government Institute of Printing Technology, Bengaluru

    The Government Institute of Printing Technology, Bengaluru, popularly known as GIPT, is one of the pioneering institutes situated in Bangalore, the capital city of Karnataka state. Located across Maharani’s Science College, this institute lies on the Palace Road and has the primary mission of producing qualified personnel for the print technology industry. It established and ran the affiliated college under the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to provide quality education in the field of the printing sector. At present the institute has 114 student enrolments and has 6 faculty members, thus providing the institute with a favourable student-teacher ratio to facilitate a one-on-one teaching and learning environment.

    The Government Institute of Printing Technology has several infrastructures that a university has that help improve the learning capacity of students. There is an institute library where a student can find many sources for further knowledge apart from the classes taken. For those who love something more active, there are places for sports and philosopher games for those students who need both studying and having fun. The college also boasts of good information technology inventory, which is paramount in the current technology-inclined printing business. In order to support skills development, GIPT has kept functional departmental laboratories for the practical implementation of these theories. Also, to cater for guesting faculty and family of students, the institute has considerately set up guest rooms and waiting areas on campus.

    The Government Institute of Printing Technology was started in Bengaluru, and the main aim of the university is to educate the students in the field of printing technology. The institute offers a single full-time course: a Diploma in Printing Technology. This three-year programme has an approved intake of 90 students, which shows the institute’s potential to create a large number of printing technology employment opportunities for a large number of students every year. The curriculum of the course will offer theoretical understanding as well as the best practical experience to the students in order to practice in the printing business.
