Government Medical College, Kathua, is one of the eminent medical colleges in J&K, India. Government Medical College is a recognised institution which imparts good quality medical education. The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, in 2017, conceived the idea of starting a batch of five new medical colleges across the state to strengthen the already existing medical colleges to make the state’s health care systems at par with the premier health care institutions across the country.
