Government Naveen College, Surajpur Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college is committed to providing quality education to the students of this tribal and rural area. There is a library cum reading room in the college where a sufficient number of books, monthly magazines, daily newspapers, and journals are available. We aim to provide the correct information/study material to needy students. A computer is installed in the library for keeping some records and conducting online searches of books and other information.

Our library has approximately 6,000 books purchased from the public participation fund, ST/SC fund, and government fund. The book issuing mechanism works so that every college I-card holder can take up to 4 books at a time for 15 days. After 15 days, she/she has to renew or submit those books.

The library hasn’t been automated till now by any means,s but we’re preparing our infrastructure to adopt an automated library shortly, and we’re planning to take the subscription of n-list services to provide a smooth digital experience of the library to our students.

The college has a well-equipped gymnasium for fitness lovers, which has a sufficient number of treadmills, weight lifters, dumbbells, gym bikes, exercise balls, push-up bar stands, flat bench presses, etc.

The College of Information Technology is all set to play an all-pervasive role in human resource management. Today, we are in the information technology (IT) era. Every organization, college, and school will be affected by it. Many organizations/schools/colleges have already started using it. Information technology facilitates storing and retrieving huge amounts of information quickly with the help of hardware and software networks and workstations at lower costs. Information technology enables the combination and configuration of data to create distinctly new information, which aids in making quick decisions. There are eleven desktops, one laptop, and 5 projectors set in the college. Distribution of the computers and laptops is as follows: -

•    Two computers are for academic purposes currently being used by the staff members in the staff room.

•    One laptop for administrative use by the principal.

•    One computer set, along with a printer, is installed in the library room for students.

•    One computer,r along with a projector, is used in the smart room for video conferencing and other educational purposes.

•    One computer is being used in the conference room, along with a projector.

•    Six computers and one projector are installed in the computer lab for students.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The college has Extracurricular facilities for all students Like NCC and NSS.

The college has Workshop facilities for all students.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college also provides Training and Placement opportunities for all the students.

The college provides good classroom facilities.
