    About Government Polytechnic, Ambala City

    Government Polytechnic Ambala was established in 1929. Initially Govt. Polytechnic, Ambala City was started as a Government Industrial School in 1929. Later on the institute was developed to metal works Institute in 1933 which became in 1948 and from that point it was known as Government Technical Institute. 

    Government Polytechnic Ambala is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi and affiliated with the College of Directorate of Technical Education Panchkula. GP Ambala offers Diploma courses in Automobile Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, and more.
