About Government Polytechnic, Aurangabad

Established in 1955, Government Polytechnic Aurangabad is recognized as a leading technical institution within the state of Maharashtra. In 1994, the Government of Maharashtra bestowed academic autonomy upon this institute. Additionally, the institute achieved distinction by receiving the Best Polytechnic Award in 1996-97. To enhance the skills of diploma technicians, the institute introduced an Outcome-Based Curriculum (OBE) starting in the academic year 2017-18.

Government Polytechnic Aurangabad offered nine Diploma programs. The programs offered at GP Aurangabad are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Moreover, five programs are NBA Accredited.

The institution boasts outstanding infrastructure comprising an expansive green campus, state-of-the-art laboratories, workshops, computer centers, a well-stocked library, sports amenities, a spacious playground, a conference hall, a gymkhana hall, a staff development cell, an examination cell, and a training and placement cell.
