About Government Polytechnic, Banda
Government Polytechnic Banda is an affiliated college of Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education, Lucknow. Government Polytechnic Banda was established in 1984 and approved by AICTE. The present campus measures 11.43 acres of land.
The college offers three diploma programmes in Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering Industrial Control with an intake of 60 students each. Admissions to the Government Polytechnic Banda are based on the performance of the candidates in the Joint Entrance Examination Council Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) conducted by the board.
Government Polytechnic Banda also offers various facilities to the students. These facilities include a library, computer lab, sports ground, laboratories, medical centre, cafeteria, guest room, waiting room and spacious classrooms. There are fully furnished 60 seater boys and girls hostels with all necessities. The college also has a unit of the National Service Scheme (NSS) that conducts various social service activities for the students.
