Government Polytechnic, Berhampur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

The institution was founded in 1995 as part of a World Bank programme with a focus on women in technical education. Two sections, Food Technology (FT) and Hotel Management & Catering Technology (HM & CT), each with a 20-person intake capacity, were initially created. Comp. Sc. & Engg. was added after two years, and the intake strength was raised to 120 per year with 40 of each. It bears a magnificent portion of notoriety and achievement. With excellent professional attitudes, the alumni have toured the world and made a name for themselves. The Government Polytechnic Berhampur course includes a diploma in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, food technology, and others. 

Government Polytechnic Berhampur admission into the course is given based on merit acquired by the students in the qualifying examination. The institution had a significant increase in capacity in 2014–15 with the addition of three (three) new core branches, including mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering, each with 60 intakes. Government Polytechnic Berhampur  placements are given to merit students. As one of the few in the state, the Institute is currently proudly serving the state by creating 300 talented workers in a variety of skill areas. Library, Cafetaria, and Hostels are some of the Government Polytechnic Berhampur facilities provided to the merit and eligible students.
