Government Polytechnic Bijnor was established in 1978. The institute was started in a rented building and later in 1998, shifted to a new campus. Government Polytechnic Bijnor was approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. Government Polytechnic Bijnor is dedicated to provide the best education to students and keeps pace with the changing times by designing new programmes and upgrading the curriculum of existing programmes.

Government Polytechnic Bijnor offers admissions to various specialisation courses at the diploma level.
