Government Polytechnic, Gairsain was established in the year 2013 and is an affiliated college situated in the district of Chamoli, Uttarakhand. This technical institute is duly approved by the All India Council for Technical Education. The institution ensures that quality education is imparted to students in the engineering field in this institution, which lies at an altitude of about 2,100 meters above mean sea level in the Himalayas.
