Government Polytechnic, Gondia, is a premier educational institution located in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, India. It was established in 2009, in an area that was once affected by Naxalite activities, under the administration of the Government of Maharashtra. Initially, the seat intake of Government Polytechnic, Gondia was 240 students, but today, 360 students are getting admission every year.

Affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai, the Government Polytechnic, Gondia offers admission to Diploma courses in various Engineering and Architecture streams. The Government Polytechnic Gondia admission will be offered through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP). DoTE, Maharashtra is the competent authority to conduct the Maharashtra Polytechnic admission process for admission in the state. 

The primary goal of Government Polytechnic, Gondia is to nurture and educate future engineers who are not only skilled but also deeply committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism in the field of engineering and technology.

The name "Gondia" is derived from the Gondi people, who are an indigenous community residing in central India. Gondia district is located in the northeastern part of Maharashtra and shares its borders with the states of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
