Government Polytechnic, Kandukur, was established in the year 2009, located at SPSR Nellore District of Andhra Pradesh as a separate institution. This institution, which is affiliated with the university and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), offers diploma courses in engineering disciplines. Located on a six-acre campus, the polytechnic at present has a total enrolment capacity of 71 students and a faculty of 18 only.

Facilities available in the Government Polytechnic, Kandukur, are specially meant to provide the best environment to succeed for the students. A library is a treasure trove of knowledge, and one that is reasonably equipped is a centre for learning. The institute offers a Diploma in Civil Engineering and a Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Most programmes have an approval to take in 60 students; therefore, the aggregate number of available study places is 120.
