Government Polytechnic Lohaghat was established in the year 1975. GP Lohaghat is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). The institute offers diploma courses in various streams. The GP Lohaghat courses include Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering and Pharmacy. The duration of GP Lohaghat Diploma courses is 2 to 3 years. The GP Lohaghat admission is based on the scores obtained in the Joint Entrance Examination Polytechnic (JEEP) which is conducted by the Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education. 

Candidates must meet minimum eligibility criteria to apply for the GP Lohaghat admission.  The institute offers many facilities to students.
