The Government Polytechnic, Malab was established in the year 2017 and affiliated to HSBTE, Panchkula and is approved by AICTE. The college offers various diploma courses in multiple branches or streams. The candidates are required to meet the GP Indri eligibility criteria. The candidates are required to attempt the relevant entrance examination and qualify to get GP Indri admission.

The GP Indri admissions are based on the marks obtained in the previous academic year and the entrance examinations. The GP Indri Malab placement cell helps students achieve their dream jobs by acting as a bridge between the companies and the students. The  GP Indri facilities include classrooms and a dining hall, laboratories and a library, a canteen, a guest house and a transport facility, a conference room, and many other facilities.
