Govt. Polytechnic Malla Salam was established in the year 2008. It is a technical institute that is kept in the heart of the beautiful Uttarakhand district in India. This affiliated college in a village named Kanra has seen growth and flourished for over a decade in its task of nurturing technical talents. This institute is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education, which runs a diploma course in the stream of Engineering. Government Polytechnic, Malla Salam commands an enviable learning environment on account of its present enrolment of 36 students with the strength of faculty of 2. Presently, the institute offers two full-time Diploma courses, specialising in Computer Science and Engineering, and Civil Engineering.

Government Polytechnic, Malla Salam is fully equipped with all sorts of facilities for all-round development for the students. The library is well-stocked and may even be said in all terms virtually the hub of the students for studies beyond the prescribed textbooks. Realizing this, the institute has established departmental laboratories to afford students the opportunity to put theoretical concepts into practice.
