Government Polytechnic, Medchal is affiliated college, situated in Medchal, Telangana state, which was started in the year 2013. This is a technical institution affiliated to AICTE with diploma programmes in different engineering branches. It is established on a 5-acre land, has a total student capacities of 435, and 6 teaching faculty. 

The institute has a set of facilities to fulfill academic as well as personal needs and requirements of scholars. It has a well endowed IT system that will provide learners with modern technology needs for learning. The college has well equipped, departmentalized laboratories for practical exposures according to the requirements of different departments. For students’ benefit and to help them broaden their knowledge there is a library containing references. To support human’s physical health requirements, the institute provides for sports amenities. Also, in the buildings involved, there is a cafeteria to support the most relevant staff and student’s nourishment, thereby providing a relaxing learning atmosphere.

At present, Government Polytechnic, Medchal functions with three three-year full-time diploma courses. Such programs are Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. More each course has a prescribed admission capacity of 60 students thus enhancing the total number of admission spaces to 180. It is clear that GATE and EAMCET have annual fees of ₹11,400, which allows technical education for any student who is inspired. Due to the lack of information as to the percentage or number of graduates, the institute offers theoretical and vocational courses that intend to equip the students with the skills which would enable them to be productive workers in their line of specialties.
