The Government Polytechnic, Navipet came into existence on the academic year 2014-15 in Nizamabad District of Telangana State. This affiliated college, which was approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), provide Diploma courses in engineering fields. The institute precisely facilitates integrated learning environment for those who aspire engineers by having 228 students in total and 1 number of faculty. The college currently runs two diploma courses which focus on Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering education to meet the rising need for skilled technicians in the sectors.
The institute has availed a number of units that meet the consideration of expanding the learning facilities for the students. The college accommodates highly equipped, departmental laboratories meeting the practical requirements vital in technical college. A library act as information centre providing information to facilitate student’s learning. In its attempt to ensure that students attain this, the institute has installed a sports facility to ensure that students engage in relevant sporting activities that will in turn help in their physical fitness as well as development of team spirit. Government Polytechnic, Navipet offers only two full time diploma courses at present, Each of which has a span of three years. There are 120 total seats at Institute and 60 seats for each course. Thus, the two programs Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Diploma in Civil Engineering offer students to get fundamental knowledge and prepare for successful careers either in the industrial field or continue studying in the sphere of engineering.
