• Government Polytechnic, New Tehri is approved by the AICTE. 

Established in the year 2006, Government Polytechnic, New Tehri currently offers programmes only at the Diploma level. Government Polytechnic, New Tehri offers the Diploma level programme in the field of Electrical Engineering. To take admission in the Diploma programme at Government Polytechnic, New Tehri, the candidates are required to appear for an Entrance Examination. Admission in the Diploma programme at Government Polytechnic, New Tehri is made on the basis of the performance of the candidates and rank secured by them in the JEEP (Joint Entrance Examination Polytechnic). This Entrance Examination is being conducted by the Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education. On the basis of the Rank obtained by the candidates, the selected candidates are required to appear in the Counselling process and must confirm their admission with the college. Government Polytechnic, New Tehri provides Library, Laboratory, Sports along with various other facilities to the students. Government Polytechnic, New Tehri is affiliated to Uttarakhand Board Technical Education, Roorkee.
