Government Polytechnic, Tirumalagiri is serving its education from 2008, and it is affiliated college in Nalgonda District, Telangana. It is an AICTE approved technical institution, imparting technical education in a 29.16 acres land. Thus, taking average strength of 249 students per year and the faculty members of 10; the college offers niche education. This government run institute for technical education in Tirumalagiri mainly offers two diploma courses in the current academic year – Civil and Mechanical Engineering courses.

The college has many facilities which provide an improvement to the general learning facilities of the college students. The college has ensured that there are numerous facilities to enable all students get involve in sporting activities since the college offers sports facilities. In terms of IT the college has developed very good infrastructure and provide the best IT facilities to students including latest technology. Besides, the institution provides accesses to the departmental laboratories aimed at enhancing the application of the learned theory practically. Also, the college library contributes to the college as a knowledge center that enhances access to information in order to support students ‘learning needs.

Government Polytechnic, Tirumalagiri currently offers two full-time diploma programs: Civil Course – Course: Diploma in Civil Engineering and Mechanical Course: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Both programs are expected to take three years to complete and each program is expected to participate an accredited number of 60 students, in this case, making the total number of seats to 120. They are planned to provide students with the scientific and practical knowledge and competencies necessary to become successful professionals in the corresponding area of specialization or to continue education.
