Government Polytechnic, Uttawar, was established in 1992 and is one of the most reputed technical institutions in Palwal district, Haryana. This affiliated college spread over 23.5 acres, is dedicated to quality technical education for budding engineers and technicians. The institute offers a varied range of diploma programs and is duly approved by AICTE and PCI. Government Polytechnic, Uttawar provides its students with a competitive learning environment with a total student intake of 697 and a faculty strength of 39. The institute offers 7 diploma courses in different streams of Engineering and Pharmacy, keeping pace with the dynamic requirements of the industry.

The academic ambience is provided with various modern facilities. At the centre, the infrastructure encompasses a well-equipped central library with around 2,500 titles and 20,000 volumes related to Engineering, Applied Sciences, Pharmacy, and Management. There is a well-maintained reading room available in the library accommodating 60 students for concentrated study. The college has also maintained a good IT infrastructure so that students can be enabled with the latest technology in support of their academic studies. It has departmental laboratories where students can implement theoretical inputs in practical situations.
