Government Polytechnic Waghai was established in 2006. Govt Polytechnic Waghai is affiliated with Gujarat Technological University. The institute launched its first course in 2006. It is open to both boys and girls. The Govt. Polytechnic Waghai offers 3-year full-time duration Diploma courses in Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Applied Mechanics Engineering. The Computer and Mechanical Engineering are NBA Accredited for years 2022 to 2024 by the National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi. The total sanctioned seat intake for the Government Polytechnic Waghai is 150.

Government Polytechnic is located at Ahwa Road, Rajendrapur, Ta-Waghai Dist - Dang, Gujarat - 394 730. It is 2.2 km from the Waghai bus station and 2.2 km from the Waghai railway station. It consists of about 115.1 km from Surat International Airport.
