Government Sri Krishnarajendra Silver Jubilee Technological Institute (SKSJTI) is an engineering college started in 1938 based in Bangalore, Karnataka. This ancient institute which was established in 1936 has been the torch bearer of technical education in this region. Located at K.R-circle, the college is habited with a compact yet strategically planned campus spread to 3.5 acres in the city of Bangalore. SKSJTI is affiliated to the universities approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), which also checks the college against the national benchmark in delivering engineering education.

Government Sri Krishnarajendra Silver Jubilee Technological Institute, Bangalore is affiliated with the college Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. The institute is proud of some of its amenities that have been put in place with the view of facilitating the learning of the students. The central library holds a rich display of books especially the engineering, science and technology books. This role makes it essential to learning as well as teaching and also as a clientele support in carrying out research activities. Standard and latest labs facilities are available at the campus such as I-Tell Orel English language lab, digital multi-lingual lab for French, German, Italian, Chinese and Arabic are available. In order to cope with the existing information technology challenges and to meet changing needs of the modern educational process, the whole campus is WPA/WEP protected Wi-Fi enabled for academic and/or research use.

To meet the need for the type of specialized engineering programs, SKSJTI has a broad based provision for the different specializations. The institute at the present offering total 11 programmes in 3 different degree levels namely BE, M.Tech and Ph.D. The BE programmes that serve as the primary offerings of the institute are Electronics and communication engineering; Computer Science and engineering; Civil engineering; Textile technology; and the special Silk Technology programme. 

Most of these full time undergraduate courses take four years to complete and has an intake capacity of 60 students in most of the programmes except in Textile Technology which has 50 and Silk Technology which has 20. In the Zone of postgraduate, SKSJTI provides M.Tech in Textile Technology, having the intake of 18 students for the two-year full time program. It also offers doctorate degree programmes in all engineering disciplines as a way of enhancing research cultures and solutions.
