Government Women’s Polytechnic, Jamshedpur was established in the year 1998. The college offers various courses at the diploma level. GWP Jamshedpur courses include Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Diploma in Computer Science Engineering and Diploma in Architecture Assistantship. GWP Jamshedpur admission is done on the basis of the Polytechnic Entrance Competitive Examination (PECE), conducted by the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB).
Qualified candidates must attend the counselling process to proceed with the next round of admission. The college offers various placement opportunities for its students. The college also offers scholarships for its students up to Rs 20,000 such as E-Kalyan, Pragati Scholarship and Savitribai Phule Scholarship. The college has various facilities for its students such as hostel facilities and mess facilities. GWP Jamshedpur has a huge infrastructure which is spread across 9 acres of land. It includes digital classrooms, a library, a computer lab, an electronics lab, a mechanical workshop and a training & placement cell.

Yes my college was having well facilated laboratories and experimental equipments and everything was hygienic including washrooms and hostel rooms were well furnished and proper study materials were given to each of them.
