Greater Noida Institute of Technology (GNIT) was founded in 2001 and is located in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. This affiliated college, which has the approval of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), has made a unique position in the area of engineering colleges. Located in a large campus, GNIT has courses for undergraduate students across a wide range of fields and the college has a total number of 2,557 students enrolled. This is because the institute also has a faculty strength of fifty highly dedicated members of staff to allow the students to achieve a better student/teacher ratio. The commitment towards quality education can be seen from the fact that GNIT offers 4 B.Tech programmes, each designed to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving technology-driven marketplace.
GNIT boasts of the well-equipped facilities which facilitate learning in the institution. The institute has an accommodation facility of more than four large computer laboratories with nearly 120 computer sets with the latest configuration and multifaceted software. Students get round-the-clock internet connection, and exposure to the latest tools and software in packages other than being taught in classrooms with simulated environments. Sports facilities are also good with proper demonstration of playing fields of outdoor and indoor games on professionally designed campus. For students, GNIT provides a separate hostel for both boys and girls each with the capacity of accommodating 750 students. These hostels have accommodated comfortable 2-seater rooms equipped with bathroom facilities and basic needs to create a healthy and safe living space for out-of-town students.
At present, GNIT provides 3 full-time B.Tech programmes which take four years of course duration. Such fully online programmes are Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering. Each course is designed to admit 60 students, and for all the programmes there are 240 chairs available. These key engineered disciplines are an indication of the institute’s focus to produce professional engineers to do the job as required in the market.

The admission process of GNIT is elaborate and the admission is given based on merit only. JEE Main is the national-level engineering entrance examination through which the institute takes its major intake of students. This helps to guarantee that GNIT enrols some of the best brains in the country. Half of the learners are from other states thus, the low intake from Uttar Pradesh of only 46%. Greater Noida Institute of Technology (GNIT) is located in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. It has a merit-based admission process through which admissions are granted based mainly on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main exam for candidates.
GNIT is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and offers a comprehensive list of undergraduate engineering courses. GNIT admissions usually coincide with those of JEE Main as conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). GNIT admission is only awarded with respect to merit/rank on the JEE.
B.Tech needs basic eligibility of qualifying 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks in either Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics, and Biology (PCMB), together with English. Candidates must submit a valid JEE Main score.
GNIT Application Process
The application process for GNIT admission is simple and follows these steps:

GNIT B.Tech Mechanical Engineering Admission Process
B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is offered by GNIT with a strong intake of about 30 seats. To qualify for GNIT admission, candidates must qualify for JEE Main and have the basic eligibility of 50% in 10+2 PCMB with English.

College Infrastructure
College ground is missing which i think is one of the main factor for a good college .Canteen is not well maintained but for the future concern it will going to be the best . Washrooms are average .For the outdoors games , the only option is the one badminton court.

The buildings in the campus are big and attractive. The campus is spacious and consists all the requisite facilities. The laboratory and computer centre are highly equipped with all the modern equipments. Hostel is for both boys and girls, they provide great food.
