GT Institute of Management Studies and Research (GTIMSR) was started in the year 2009 and is situated in Bangalore, Karnataka. This co-educational institute, situated in over five acres of area, is an affiliated college which is Bangalore University, and it is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education. GTIMSR provides five distinct kinds of 5 programmes within 5 degrees that it delivers to 799 total students. The institute has a strength of 18 dedicated professionals as members of its faculty; the student-teacher ratio is satisfactory.

There are 120 seats for MBA , the new Master of Computer Applications [MCA] programme only provides 60 seats. Other courses offered are BCA, B.Com & M.Com.

For the MBA programme,  the Institute accepts scores of the well-known management aptitude tests, namely the Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) and the Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (Karnataka PGCET).
